Occasionally, for some unknown reason you might find that some or all of your systems are no longer automatically updating the appointment book view throughout the day.
The problem is that your network id’s have become crazed and mixed up.
The solution is to reset your Network IDs. Here’s how:
- Get everyone out of Dentrix
- Go to the Dentrix program folder on the server (e.g. C:\Program Files\Dentrix)
- If there is a file called MU.dtx, rename it to Maint.exe
- Run Maint.exe
- Select Reset Network Station Ids
- Exit Maint.exe
- Open the Appointment Book on the server (it needs to be station #1)
- Now go to each of your other stations, one by one, and open the appointment book.
Everything should be updating automatically again.
Thank you! This worked perfectly for us in Dentrix 11.
So our database is v14 but the Dentrix software on the server (Windows 2000) is v11 and when we run the maint.exe utility it tells us it can’t because of the version mismatch. How do we work this out? I tried to run the G4 updates v6 and v7 but they won’t install on Win2000- any suggestions most appreciated!
